Bot Bash 2006

Since February 18 2002 J Chris Campbell has drawn robots.
On February 18 2007 he created his 500th robot and e-mailed it out to the world. Read all about it here.

This 5 year exercise in speed drawing has grown into a massive collection of clanking cartoon characters. The Bot Bash was a chance to gather and gawk at the gang of robots he has managed to assemble.

Mr. Duane Ballenger takes it all in with a deap breath and a gentle nod.

Foster said he liked the robots, and didn't want to take them down.

Justin Gammon explains how 1/3 of the robots had the same stiff neck problem that he does.

Kayla picks on her cousin Charlie, partly because she loves him but mostly cause she never had a little brother and thus has years of pent up aggrivation waiting to be tapped.

The hallway at Campbell CPA Firm provided a nice place for people to prop themselves when they weren't
gawking at robots.

Scott Ellingburg wonders aloud what would happen if the robots came to life and ran around the room at actual size. Duanes thinks that would be a neat thing to watch, but he would be afraid some might run up his pants leg and discover what he had discovered earlier that day.

J Chris Campbell stands amongst his 500 robots.

500 squares that measured 4.25" by 4.25".

All of them were numbered and about a third of them had their names that were given to them when they were originally e-mailed out..

John Brogdon explains how it's much more tolarable to gaze at the robots if you have a frosty bottle in your hand. Kevin of course prefers his metalic gray Dixie cup.

"Yes, and over there is another robot with the exact same stiff neck," explains J Chris.

Charlie and Matt take advantage of the available Rock'um Sock'um robots.

More gawking.

"Dude, I thought you said there weren't going to be any picture taking," Taylor says. "Oh, that's not a camara. My wife has a new prosthetic thingamajig attached to her arm. It's for better accounting skills. Now smile before she thinks you are making fun of her."

Foster and J Chris share a moment amongst the conglomeration of robots.

Holli Campbell was more than happy to host the Bot Bash at Campbell CPA Firm. Until she realized that the tape on the walls removed paint. Sorry! :(

"Wait, I thought we were going to get to beat up real robots. Like from the future," asks Mark Roper perplexedly.

Even after taping 500 robots to the wall, Jenna Lea's arms are strong enough to give her nephew love squeezes.

J Chris clicks his mouse. We've told him, but he still keeps clicking it.

J Chris holds his son Foster as they are surrounded by his nephew's Mat, Charlie and Vicent. Who came all the way for Sweden to see these robots, but not really. But they are from Sweden.

Duane and Kevin of Beatgraphics were among the few there to have recieved most of the robots over the past 5 years.

"I did it! Now I gotta do 500 more," J Chris Campbell is a silly dreamer.
