Creative Southern Yumminess Wide Awake Press is South Carolina's most bestest comic book publisher ever. Started in the year twenty zero zero by J Chris Campbell, Duane Ballenger and Mike Gowan. Local boys needing to disperse their collection of locally published comic strips. Thus Wide Awake the comiczine anthology was born and it has grown to include photography, artistic design, happy fun pages, one sentence movie reviews, sketches, illustrations, short stories, humorous news articles and all sorts of inspired ramblings. There were 5 hand made versions of Wide Awake. Then, in 2006, Wide Awake Press teamed up with 3 Boys Productions to publish the future indie classic Wide Awake 666. A ScaryFunny anthology chock full or indie mavericks, professionally printed and distributed to comic shops all over the place. We've also published mini-comics by some of the artists featured in Wide Awake. They'll make a nice addition to your collection, if they aren't sold out.
